This privacy policy is for this website www.sdarc.net which is the main online presence of the Swindon & District Amateur Radio Club and governs the privacy of its users who choose to use it. It explains how we comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

We and this website comply with the GDPR. We will update this policy accordingly after the completion of the UK’s exit from the European Union if necessary.

Personal Information

We store the following personal information and it is used for the express use of managing your club subscription. Callsign, name, email address. When your subscription lapses there will be a grace period before your data is deleted. This grace period is reviewed from time to time and is around 6 months. Whilst you are an active member we require that basic information. If you request your data to be deleted you will no longer be an active member.  As part of being a member, you can opt-in (or out) of us using your data as part of your membership status.  If you opt-in, your callsign, name, and membership status will be displayed on the Current Members page.  You will also receive club-related email including programme updates.  You can opt-in by sending an email to [email protected]

By default you are opted out and will not receive emails and you will not appear on the membership list.

If you complete a membership form, we store the following personal information; Callsign, name, email address, year of birth, telephone numbers and mailing address. This information is only used to contact you in the event of an emergency, to check your wellbeing in the event we haven’t seen you for a while, and for statistics/safeguarding purposes. You are not obliged to complete a form but it does help. We will delete your data on request.
