On Thursday, 23rd November, our Vice Chair, James Patterson, M1DST presented a friendly, discussion led, practical demonstration of what is involved with 3D printing.
James originally built his 3D printer from a kit and has undertaken the journey of upgrading it whilst discovering what these printers can do for makers.
He covered the design, CAD, slicing and printing steps with practical demonstrations. James discussed how the technology is changing at a rapid rate and that there is now a much lower barrier to entry than there was in the past.
